Co-Curricular Activities

Activities take place four afternoons a week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:30pm. There is an extensive and varied range of activities, which include:

  • Paid activities - those requiring parental consent, and often involving external members of staff coming into school to provide high level, expert coaching and tuition

Performance Arts

Music, dance and drama lessons are on offer to all children in the Prep School. Ballet lessons are grouped via experience and RAD exam criteria, not by year group. All children new to music lessons will discuss requirements and instrument choice with Mrs Blomfield prior to lessons commencing. All performance arts lessons are available to book via SOCS

Cricket Academy

Sandroyd Cricket Academy has been running for several years and provides year-round training for children in Years 3 to 8. Beginners and experienced players are welcome as our highly qualified and experienced coaches tailor the lessons accordingly. Our academy is extremely popular with lessons scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings by Mr Blomfield. Taster sessions can be arranged, if required by contacting Mr Blomfield, otherwise the Cricket Academy should be booked via SOCS activity sign-up.
